Introducing Sourceplane
Sourceplane is the company behind Orunbase, orun and openproduct.live. This is who we are, what we build and why.
Sourceplane is the company behind Orunbase, the open-source engine orun, and openproduct.live. Until now each of them has had its own home. This site is where the company that makes them gets one.
Why we exist
Every engineering organisation ends up building the same platform: a catalog of what it runs and who owns it, pipelines, environments, policy and access. Large companies spend years on it. Small teams usually skip it and pay later, or hire ahead of the product to build it.
That trade was already a poor one. Agents make it worse. They are good at writing code and poor at knowing what a system expects: who owns the upstream service, what depends on it, which decisions are settled. Without that context they ship confident changes that pass CI and break production.
Our mission is to give every team, and every agent working beside it, the discipline of a great engineering organisation from day one.
What we build
- Orunbase is the agentic developer portal: product context in every agent session, golden paths from idea to production, and guardrails that apply to every human and agent action, fully audited.
- orun is the open-source engine underneath it. Teams declare their platform as intent next to their code, and orun compiles it into a deterministic plan that every commit converges toward.
- openproduct.live is a public directory of open builds, where makers list what they are building and anyone can follow along.
How we work
We use what we make. Our products are declared as intent and deployed by orun, and much of our day-to-day engineering is done by agents working inside the same rails we offer to everyone else.
If that sounds like the kind of work you want to do, we would like to hear from you.
